AUTHOR'S BACKGROUND:
Remo Federico Junior Mancini, born on February 5, 1991, in Albano Laziale, in the province of Rome - Italy, discovered his unwavering passion for storytelling from a young age. His journey as a writer began as soon as he learned to hold a pen. This ardor for literature and writing was initially kindled by his elementary school Italian teacher, whose guidance and encouragement provided the initial impetus for Remo's foray into the world of storytelling.
His debut novel, Peperoni e Pop-corn, published by Historica Edizioni in 2023, marked a significant milestone in Remo's literary career. This engaging novel, originally in Italian, was later self-published in English to reach a broader international audience.
Before this novel, Remo showcased his narrative skills with a short story titled Lo strano caso del detective Nolan, selected through a competition by Historica Edizioni. This story found its place in the anthology "Racconti Marchigiani" (Historica Edizioni 2018) further establishing Remo as a storyteller with a fascinating flair.
Expanding his creative endeavors, Remo ventured into the realm of audio storytelling through his YouTube channel, "Remo F.J. Mancini." Here, Italian voice actors Bruno Caricchia and Eleonora Migliaccio brought his stories to life, offering a unique and immersive experience for the audience. Influenced by distinguished authors such as Roald Dahl, Joe Lansdale, Stephen King, Douglas Adams, and Nick Harkaway, Remo's writing skills reflect a rich legacy of storytelling styles. Presently, Remo resides in Fermo, a charming city in the central Italian region of Marche, with his wife and son. What inspired your love for storytelling during your childhood in Lapedona? I often had very strange and unique dreams as a child. The next day, I would draw them and hang them in my room.
