Ballet


A theatrical dance form characterized by precise choreography, pointe work (dancing on the tip of the toes), and elaborate costumes. Ballet originated in 15th-century Renaissance Italy and has evolved into a complex and demanding art form.

Hip Hop


A high-energy dance style that originated in the Bronx borough of New York City in the 1970s. Hip hop dance is often characterized by breaking (performed on the ground), popping (quick muscle contractions), and locking (isolating and stopping movements).

Tap Dance


A rhythmic dance form that uses the taps attached to the soles of the dancer's shoes to create percussive sounds. Tap dance originated in African-American communities in the 19th century and has since become a popular form of dance in many cultures.

Bachata


A sensual and romantic partner dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. Bachata is characterized by its slow tempo, intimate embraces, and sensual body movements. Bachata music is often characterized by its use of bolero rhythms and melancholic lyrics about love and heartbreak. 



BACHATA

Bharatnatyam


A classical Indian dance form that originated in Tamil Nadu. Bharatnatyam is known for its expressive storytelling, intricate footwork, and beautiful costumes. Dancers wear ghungroos (small bells) on their ankles that create a rhythmic sound as they dance.
