How did your childhood connection to nature and the mysteries of the universe shape your creative work as an author?
Growing up in Klaipeda, Lithuania, I was immersed in nature year-round—jumping waves in the Baltic Sea, looking for mushrooms in autumn woods, taking winter walks or skiing. I was always deeply connected to Earth's beauty and mysteries. Now, wherever I live in the world, I seek that connection, which infuses my writing with themes of natural wonder and interconnectedness of all things.
